Melvin’s Brain Games Board
The purpose of Melvin’s Brain Games is to support children in developing their family of executive functioning skills, including: inhibition, working memory, cognitive flexibility and metacognition. Executive functioning skills can be practiced while playing quick brain games throughout the day.
Using the Melvin’s Brain Games board, the teacher chooses four activities to place on the board or they may invite a child to chose
one of the activities from the board for the class to do. After each activity the students take 3 Melvin Breaths.
